Paul and Francescas wedding involved hundreds of real and artificial flowers of numerous size, shape and colour. Our highly trained florists at Poplar Tree Florists Durham provided each bridesmaid with a beautiful white rose petal bouquet with pink splashes, and hand tied with cream lace. These flowers were specially imported from Holland.

The Brides Bouquet was a similar Rose petal structure but much larger and these flowers were also sourced fresh from Europe and hind tied. We even made the bride an artificial copy of the bouquet so that the bride could keep a souvenier at home after the wedding forever.

As well as providing flowers and bouquets for the brides, Poplar tree Florist Durham also provided the groomsmen with their coursages and numerous family members also.

The day before the wedding, a team of expert Florists, led by the wedding planner from Poplar Tree in Durham, headed to the Church in Brancepeth - Durham and constructed 3 floral archways which were wrapped in ivy and various roses and other flowers, all hand tied and individually attached. These would provide a stunning walkway for the bridal party and backdrop for numeroud photos within the church.

The church was also filled with numerous floral pedestals and bouquets to match the colour scheme of the Bride and Poplar Tree Florist put these in place on the morning of the wedding to ensure they were fresh and everything was in place immediately before the wedding began. Florists also attached bows and ribbons to the wedding cars and gates leading into the church.

The wedding was a split venue meaning that Poplar Tree Florist were also required to prepare 18 table centre pieces across the other side of Durham in a marquee, which consisted of huge martini glasses and black and white feathers. The 18 huge martini glasses were filled with diamonds and placed on large mirrors on each table and surounded by our diamond candle holders. Also each serviette had a rose petal and flower attached to it along with diamonds and table decorations. All were provided and put together by Poplar Tree Florists in the days leading up to the wedding as they were artificial, but stunningly repicated real flower stems.

To complete the fabulous array of flowers on display that day, Paul and Francesca also hired numerous artificial plants and palm trees to decorate their beautiful marquee aswell as our Wishing Well and twig trees and lights.. Poplar Tree Florist photos from the day can be seen above.

Stephanie & Richard

Francesca & Paul

The wedding Flowers for Stephanie & Richard were a pleasure to create. The team of wedding Florists in Durham had several meetings with the bride and Groom before deciding on the exact design. The design of the wedding flowers involved sourcing centrepiece vases from a nationwide supplier, and after careful thought and planning, the bride and groom decided to go for white Roses in a tall silver vase. This complimented the stunning surroundings of Rockliffe Hall in County Durham where the wedding breakfast took place.

The Brides Bouquet was stunning. A bespoke design of white roses. These flowers were also sourced fresh from Europe and hind tied. As we offer every bride, we also made the bride an artificial copy of the bouquet so that the bride could keep a souvenir at home after the wedding forever.

The day before the wedding, a team of expert Florists, led by the wedding planner from Poplar Tree in Durham, headed to the church at Durham School Chapel - and carefully positioned the large ornamental flowers, as well as tall artificial and natural topiary trees which lined the church aisles and added a stunning visual effect for the photographer to work around.

The church was also filled with numerous floral pedestals and bouquets to match the colour scheme of the Bride and Poplar Tree Florist Durham put these in place on the morning of the wedding to ensure they were fresh and everything was in place immediately before the wedding began.

The wedding Florists also attached bows and ribbons to the wedding cars and gates leading into the church, and also lined the hand rails which ran alongside the 95 steps up to the Chapel in Durham. It was a beautiful mixture of ivy and roses.

Having a split wedding venue so far away was no problem for the wedding Florists who’s day started at 6am delivering the fresh corsages to the bride grooms home, and then off to where the Bride was getting ready for the flowers for the bridesmaids and Bride. In between, other Florists were arranging the flowers in the church and also putting finishing touches to the floral set up at Rockliffe Hall. It is very important that our wedding Florists blend so far into the background on the wedding day that they are completely unnoticeable, yet always available if needed.
